Steve Kim
Managing Director
Steve currently leads Champlain’s distribution efforts across APAC and has participated in $13B of mandates across APAC since opening the Hong Kong office for Pathway in 2012. He is a Board Member and Advisor at Castling Investment Group, Korea’s first private markets advisory firm, which he helped establish in 2013. Previously, Steve served as the Co-head of Pathway Capital Management’s Hong Kong office, where he was responsible for overseeing global fund opportunities, and helped launch Pathway’s research department in 2008. Steve was also a member of Pathway’s New Deals Committee. Before his tenure at Pathway, Steve worked as an investment banker, executing a variety of M&A, advisory, and financing transactions. He holds U.S. citizenship and permanent residency in Hong Kong and South Korea, reflecting his deep ties to the global financial landscape. Steve graduated cum laude from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business.
